Police investigating a sexual assault hope a hyponotist's records might help with their inquiries.
Officers are investigating a historic case of sexual assault which happened in Newquay in 1983, and are trying to trace friends or relatives of a Helston-based hypnotherapist, now deceased, who worked with the victim after the attack.
The man, Dennis Seger or Seager, may have been employed as a consultant to obtain evidence through hypnosis of the victim, as was occasionally the practice at the time. Now investigators are searching for any paperwork or evidence he may have left which could help with their cold case.
He assisted police mainly in the Newquay area and lived in Helston.
If you knew Mr Seger, or Seager, or of any existing case notes or paperwork that he may have left on file, police would like to hear from you.
If you can help, please contact Detective Constable Kevin Williams on 01209 611460
