Firefighters raced to Germoe yesterday afternoon after receiving a 999 call to say a person was trapped under a mini digger.
The Critical Control Centre took the call just before 4.45pm, with crews from Hayle, Tolvaddon and Penzance scrambled to Trescowe Common.
When they arrived, however, they found that the person had managed to free themselves without any need for help.
The firefighters made the scene safe and provided first aid before an ambulance crew arrived.
