A Post Office branch in Falmouth has had a decade of helping its local community recognised with an award from the company's head office.

Boslowick Post Office has received a company Community Service Award in recognition of ten years of excellent service for its customers and community.

Post Office clerk, Rob Jenkin said: "It was totally unexpected, I didn't know anything about it. I was quite chuffed, it's quite pleasing to be recognised .

"We have quite a good rapport with our customers, it's quite a nice community."

The branch, which recently relocated to within the McColl's store at Boslowick, is staffed by three people: Rob, manager,  Lucille Hedges; and Eileen Rodgers.

Lucille said of the award: "It's nice to get recognition for good work. We have a nice clientele, they are mostly locals, and we have got to know them very well."

Rob joked: "The award is for the last ten years, and coincidentally I have been here for ten years, so it's all been down to me."
