The A30 at Temple will be closed overnight over the next five weekends to enable the project team to carry out further essentials works on the three new bridges.

The overnight closures on the stretch between Temple and Higher Carblake, will take place between 8pm on Saturday, October 22, and 6am on Sunday, October 23; 9.30pm on Saturday, October 29, and 6am the next day; and from 8pm until 6am on November 5/6, 12/13 and 19/20.

The standard solid black vertical ‘diamond’ diversion route will be put into operation for all A30 through traffic. To avoid confusion only follow the solid ‘black diamond’ symbol. Because of major roadworks in Bodmin town centre, the diversion route through Bodmin is no longer available.

Eastbound all through traffic will be diverted off the A30 at the Highgate Hill/A39 junction and motorists will be directed to use the A39 to Wadebridge, Camelford onto the A395 for Kennard’s House.

Westbound, all traffic will be diverted off the A30 at Kennards House Roundabout with A30 through traffic to use the A395 to Camelford and A39 to Wadebridge returning to the A30 at Highgate Hill. Traffic requiring Bodmin town should follow local diversion routes in place for the town centre closures. Local A30 westbound traffic requiring access to local businesses or moorland villages can still use the A30 as far as Hawks Tor, Temple.

Local access via the A30 at Kennards House roundabout (westbound on-slip) will still be available as far as Temple village and Colliford Lake for Mount, Cardinham. Through traffic can still use the A30 until the full closure is implemented at Hawks Tor, Temple at 8pm.

Special arrangements are in hand for residents immediately adjacent to the A30 who require access during the closure period. An entry/exit pass with accompanying letter will be delivered in due course. Kier has apologised for any inconvenience during these essential closures.
