PORTHLEVEN FC A came from 2-0 down to defeat Mullion FC 7-2 last week and move back to the top of Division I of the West Cornwall Summer Pool League.
Helston FC trailed 4-2 against last week's leaders Helston RBL A but won all three doubles to defeat them 5-4 while wins from Kirk Nicholas, Derek Real, Dave Eva and John Layzell helped the Seven Stars A team to a 7-2 win over Helston RBL E. Breage SC A came from 4-1 down to defeat Helston CC A 5-4.
The Queens Arms already have a big lead in division II and last week they defeated the White Hart A team 8-1 and have a nine-point lead at the top. Wins from Wayne Rogers, Mark Rogers, Sean Hunt and Tony Flint helped the Crown Inn to a 6-3 win over Helston RBL C and Porthleven FC B defeated Helston Rugby Club 5-4.
Praa Sands Golf Club top division III after they defeated the Red Lion 7-2, but they are level on points with the Lion and Lamb who defeated last week's leaders Helston RBL F 6-3. Helston CC B had singles wins from Steve Frew and Brian Marshall but found themselves 4-2 down after the singles. However, they won all three doubles to claim a 5-4 win. The Rodney defeated the Seven Stars B team 7-2.
The presentation night for the Winter League is now Friday, June 22, at Helston RBL, at 7.15pm not June 15 as printed on the Summer League fixture lists.
