Helston Fatstock show is returning on at the end of November with plenty of livestock, fresh produce and crafts on display, and much more.

The show will be at Franchis Farm in Wendron, opposite the Wheal Dream, on Monday, November 28, with an opportunity to see cattle and sheep, vegetables and top quality baking, crafts and photography, as the people of the Helston area celebrate all that is best in food and farming.

This year’s show president is Robert Trevarthen of R & J Trevarthen, Butchers and Livestock Hauliers, and all proceeds from the raffle and charity auction will go to his chosen charity, Macmillan Cancer Support.

Emma Wright will be present on the day representing Macmillan and will give a short talk.

The show committee is grateful for the considerable support from local businesses who sponsor and give raffle prizes.

Children from Trannack School will attend in the morning, and Boskenwyn School in the afternoon, to learn about farm to fork in their curriculum.

Entries are up in all classes, particularly cattle and sheep, and entry is free.
