Falmouth University’s annual Staff Excellence Awards took place on Thursday, applauding the contributions and achievements of members of staff that have made a huge impact on the life of the university and its students.

Nominees, guests and university chancellor, Dawn French, enjoyed a dinner and speeches at the Merchants Manor and the opportunity to recognise Falmouth's talented and dedicated staff community, and the personal contributions of individual members to the ongoing success of the university

Professor Anne Carlisle, vice-chancellor and chief executive, said: “We wouldn’t be where we are today without the incredible people who work all across the university, from our academic staff, to the estates team, from the technical crew who keep our performance spaces running, to the fantastic team who underpin student support, the people in administrative roles and the external funding team.

“It was an absolute pleasure to be able to recognise their efforts, their innovation and dedication and to say thank you for their support.”

Awards were presented by friends of the university and the evening was compered by Neil Caddy from Pirate FM.
