Mawnan Smith Bowling Club held a coffee morning recently when they presented a cheque for £315 to the lifesaving charity Cornwall Blood Bikes.
Mark Holroyd, one of a team of 60 Blood Bike riders covering Cornwall, accepted the cheque and gave a short talk about the organisation and the service it provides for the community. The charity depends solely on donations from the public and provides free out of hours service delivering and collecting blood and pathology samples for the NHS and partners throughout the county.
