The Royal Cornwall Museum in Truro has launched a recruitment drive and is hoping to entice more volunteers to get involved in a range of exciting projects.

There will be an open day between 11am and 2.30pm on Tuesday, February 7, when entry will be free and people will be able to find out more.

Volunteers can help care for the collections, help welcome visitors, work in maintenance or the shop, or work behind the scenes with exhibits and much, much more.

"Our volunteering and internship programmes are designed to benefit those taking part as much as they support the museum, and provide a rewarding and enriching experience for all," said a spokesman. "Volunteers are vital to our work - we simply couldn’t operate without them.

"If you would like to join the team at the Royal Cornwall Museum, please come to the open day, ask questions and learn more."

For more information about the open day call the museum on 01872 272205.
