The lineup for Heart:Beats, a charity festival organised by a former DJ with a rare terminal heart condition, has been announced.

The event, which is due to be held at the Blue Anchor on Sunday, April 2, was organised by Kay Harvey, from Mullion, who suffers from a rare condition known as Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection.

The condition leaves Kay more prone to heart attacks and strokes, and so far she has suffered three heart attacks and two strokes.

Now, to raise money for the Cardiac Unit at Treliske Hospital and for the British Heart Foundation, Kay has organised the one-day festival that will see top acts perform in Helston.

Midlife Crisis, The Tiger Tales, Shabby Chic, Belfast Busker, Not The Beatles, Bobby's Helmet, Los Palmas 7, No Apologies, Steve Heller, Three Minute Warning, The Roosters and Good Old Fashioned Lover Boys will all be taking to the two stages.

Music begins at 12.30pm and three more acts, Thraw’d Together, Zalick and Alyssa, will also be performing.

Tickets on the day will cost £5, with all proceeds going to charity, and if anyone would like to donate to the charities separately you can do so by putting a cheque to the British Heart Foundation in an envelope address to Kay, and giving it to the BHF store on Meneage Street, Helston.
