The first Sundowner Session on Lusty Glaze Beach this summer will also provide a boost for a local surf charity with 50 per cent of ticket sales being donated.

Winter Mountain will be at the private beach near Newquay on Friday, March 24, with half of the profits going to The Wave Project, a Newquay charity which provides Surf Therapy to at risk

children and young people.

Headliner Winter Mountain is known for his heartfelt lyrics and extraordinary voice, and has recently enjoyed airplay on BBC Radio 2.

Robin Parris, events manager at Lusty Glaze Beach, said: “We’re enormously proud to be

supporting such an incredibly worthwhile charity through this event. The night combines

two things we love down here – surfing and music – and helps people along the way. We

hope we’ll be able to raise lots of money for them.”

Support will come from Daisy Clark, who has recently released her first single, a cover of Hopelessly Devoted to You, is in big demand of late, making appearances on ITV’s Lorraine, Blue Peter and BBC

Spotlight.

There will also be a performance from Rue, a 23 year old singer-songwriter, who will be making her second performance at the beach after a very popular session last year.

The gig will kick off Lusty Glaze’s 2017 season of Sundowner Sessions, which will also include evenings with William the Conqueror and Matt Woods, as well as sessions with Razorlight on July 20, a dance trio with Symphonica feat. Mr Switch, the Hackney Colliery Band and Red Hot Chilli Pipers on August 3, and the return of Symphony by the Sea on August 4.

Tickets for Friday are £10 in advance, £5 of which will be donated to The Wave Project, and can be
