Nearly 60 tractors gathered together to support the annual charity tractor run organised by Threemilestone and District Young Farmers Club, and raised over £600.

In total 55 tractors, including 30 vintage and 23 modern models, were in attendance and helped raise £622.23 for Riding for the Disabled.

Makes such as Massey Harris, Fordson Majors, Massey Ferguson, Marshall, Nuffield, John Deere, New Holland, Claas, Case and Same took part in the event, alongside a ver rare International 3588 that had recently been shipped over from the USA.

Tractors left in convoy from Truro Tractors, Chacewater, after a bacon brunch, with the food kindly donated from a local Primrose Herd.

Half way through the journey the group stopped for a pasty, supplied by Prima Bakery at Resparveth Farm B&B in Grampound.

It was the 70th anniversary of Threemilestone and District Young Farmers Club, and organisers planned a special route to include a crossing on the King Harry Ferry, which was filled with tractors.

Simon Medlin, who took part in the tractor run with his son in a Ford 8340, said: "We really enjoyed our day and were made to feel very welcome.

"The run was well organised with marshals at all the right places, having done the Martin Jennings motorcycle run I know how important that is.

"The route around the Roseland was excellent, going through some parts of the Duchy I had not seen before.

"Of course the trip across the Fal on the King Harry Ferry was a unique experience, having done it countless times in a car, seeing the ferry full of tractors was brilliant."
