Wildlife enthusiasts are in for a great day on May 6, as the Penryn BioBlitz and Garden Fete returns.

BioBlitz have this year teamed up Penryn Garden Fete to host a day of not only wildlife spotting, but also summer games, fayre stalls and interactive activities.

The free event is held at the Penryn Campus of Falmouth University, and runs on Saturday between 10am and 4pm.

Activities include Bird ringing, pond dipping, moth trapping, bug hunting, mammal trapping, plant spotting, bat walks and garden games.

This is the sixth annual BioBlitz, and this year there will be a raffle with amazing prizes, alongside arts and craft stalls.

Wildlife and charity organisations from all over Cornwall will be joining with loads of exciting stalls, activities and opportunities for you to get involved in.

Food and drink will be available to buy from a range of local suppliers, and there will also be a garden barbecue on site.

Please note that children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to attend these events, and the event will also be filmed by the University throughout the day.
