Helston is to become the new home of the Cornish clubbing scene following the announcement that popular nightclub Boxx is relocating to the town.
Previously based in Hayle, Boxx has played host to the likes of Judge Jules, Angie Brown and Brandon Block, and regulars were left devastated when the landlord of the building it was based out of decided to sell up rather than renew the lease.
This week it was revealed, however, that Boxx will be taking over Shooters Bar in Coinagehall Street, which will now be closed for refurbishments until Saturday, May 20 when it will reopen with a launch party featuring dancers, fire swingers and a long line up of DJs.
The company is owned by Jonathan Oates, also known as DJ Sundance, who said: "We have two rooms pumping out the tunes every week with events, a list of DJs and acts planned throughout the year.
"We're going to do some decorating and design work, mainly to the upstairs room where we aim to keep this as the underground dance music room, separate from downstairs, titled Room 2.
"Here every week there will be different styles of dance music from, house, garage, trance, breakbeat, hiphop, DnB, electro, techno and everything else in between."
Boxx will open every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with some Super Sunday events.
The club has promised to lay on minibuses to transport their fans in Hayle over to Helston and then take them home at the end of the night.
