A planned Question Time style event pitting Falmouth's parliamentary candidates against each other has been cancelled this afternoon.
Falmouth University had planned to hold the event, which would have featured Conservative, Labour, Liberal Democrat, Green and Ukip candidates, at its Woodlane campus this evening.
However due to the suspension of party political campaigning following Monday evening's bomb attack in Manchester, several candidates decided to pull out.
In a statement on the event's Facebook page, FXU wrote: "Due to recent events in Manchester and a continued suspension on campaigning, we have cancelled our ‘Candidates Question Time’ event planned for this evening.
"We will look into whether it is possible to re-schedule the event however due to the timeframe this may not be possible."
