There promises to be something for everyone at this Sunday's West Cornwall Motor Show.

Although organised as an annual celebration of all things motoring, there is more to the event than just cars, with a range of acts on the main stage, games for children and a variety of food at Wendron Cricket Club between 10am and 4pm.

Covers band The Catch will be one of the main acts headlining the entertainment stage, along with comedian turned rapper Steve Heller, famous for his recent spoofs on Helston and Camborne.

Music will also be provided by the Lemonaires sea shanty choir, Wendron Silver Band and RNAS Culdrose Military Wives Choir.

Dance groups the TR14ers and Teresa Blee Dance School will be performing, with Penrose Judo Club giving a demonstration and

There will be fairground rides for younger visitors, courtesy of Ann Raymond Amusements, as well as a range of stalls and food vans.

Of course, motoring is what lies at the heart of the event and the field will be filled with cars, motorbikes and tractors from across the decades, from vintage vehicles through to modern-day modified examples.

Organiser Peter Thorne said: "We're trying to go down the more authentic route, trying to find all motors that have a history."

Although it is free to exhibit a vehicle at the event, a voluntary collection will be taken for Dementia UK.

One of the biggest draws is expected to be the Formula 1 simulator, giving users the chances to become a racing car driver for two laps of the Silverstone track.

This year there is a lower admission price of £3 for adults and £1 for children, with free parking next to the showground. Dogs are welcome on leads.

There is still time to book a spot to exhibit a vehicle or run a stand, by calling Peter as soon as possible on 07950 755213.

With gates opening to the public at 10am, anyone exhibiting is asked to arrive before that time if at all possible.

A beer festival will be running in the clubhouse over the same weekend, with eight real ales and eight ciders, running from 7pm this Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday.
