Penryn's highly successful ladies' team represented the club at the annual Newquay Sevens over the weekend.
They made the annual trip to with high expectations after winning the plate last year.
They won their first two games against Plymstock Albion Oaks 22-7 and Portsmouth Valkyries 19-0, before losing to Tigers 30-7 in the final game in the pool.
Despite the final loss they reached the cup competition, but had a tough draw against Exeter University and went down 17-0.
The Penryn team held their own in a scoreless first half, but in the second Exeter drew Penryn's defensive line and scored around the outside.
