A man has been airlifted to hospital following an explosion on a fishing boat off the west Cornwall coast this morning.
Sennen Cove RNLI was sent to the coast off Pendeen at around 9.30am after it was reported that there had been an explosion onthe single handed vessel Hope.
Brian Simpson, from Sennen Cove Lifeboat Station, said: "Apparently there was some sort of exposion, and he was injured. They had to get the helicopter and airlifted him to Treliske.
"Our boat, the City of London III, is on its way to Newlyn to tow in the chap's fishing boat."
