Beer-drinkers from Helston raised over £3,000 for a collection of South West charities at a beer festival organised by the local Rotary club.

More than 20 different beers and ciders from Cornish breweries were on offer at the free-to-enter charity beer festival.

Organised by the Rotary Club of Helston-Lizard, the festival was hosted at the Epworth Hall, behind the Methodist church in Coinagehall Street, and ran from Friday, June 23, to Sunday, June 25.

In total, £3,066 was raised for the Merlin MS Centre, Cornwall Prostate Cancer and the Cornwall Rescue Team.

The festival opened at noon each day, closed at midnight on the first two days and finished at 10pm on the final day.

Evening entertainment included musicians Sounds Eclectic on the Friday and The Journeymen on the Saturday.
