The A30 between Temple and High Carblake will be closed overnight for the next week, as the longstanding roadworks come to an end.

The closures come into place on Saturday as contractors Kier make the final push towards completing construction of the long awaited dual carriageway.

From Saturday, July 8, to Friday, July 14 the road will be closed between 7pm and 6am, and diversions will be in place and signposted by the standard diversion signs bearing the solid black ‘diamond’.

The closures will enable any remedial roadworks to be competed and for the phased removal of the entire traffic management scheme, allowing the road to reopen as a dual carriageway on July 14.

Eastbound traffic will be diverted off the A30 at the Highgate Hill/A39 junction, and motorists will be directed to use the A39 to Wadebridge, Camelford onto the A395 for Kennard’s House.

Traffic for Bodmin or Plymouth will be able to continue eastbound to the junction for Carminow Cross, but the A30 will be closed past this point.

Westbound Traffic will be diverted off the A30 at Kennards House Roundabout, with through traffic using the A395 to Camelford and A39 to Wadebridge returning to the A30 at Highgate Hill.

Local A30 westbound traffic requiring local access can still use the A30 as far as Hawks Tor, Temple. Access will remain for residents and businesses at Five Lanes, Alternun, Bolventor and Colliford Lake.
