Police have appealed for witnesses after a pedestrian was left with possible life-changing injuries following an accident in Penzance on Tuesday, July 11.

Officers were called just before 5.50pm to reports of a serious collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle on Lansdowne Place.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, received possible life-changing injuries as a result of the collision with a black Ford Focus and was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske in Truro.

Officers from the serious collisions unit and roads policing team attended the scene and the road was closed.

MPC Sam Sargent said: “We are seeking witnesses who have not yet come forward to contact me at Camborne Traffic Centre or via 101@dc.police.uk, or by calling 101 quoting log number 711 of the 11th July 2017."
