For three nights this summer Trerice, the Elizabethan manor near Newquay, will stage an open-air animated reading of Dylan Thomas’ Under Milk Wood.

Between Thursday, August 31, and Saturday, September 2, the beautiful, quirky work about the fictional village of Llareggub will be brought to life by A Company of Actors, a group of 15 performers based in Cornwall. The play is directed and produced by Charles Rimmer by arrangement with David Higham Associates, and musical direction is by Peter Smith with original music by David Parkes.

Tickets are available from the reception team at Trerice and cost £6 per person. The performances start at 7.30pm each evening and the audience is encouraged to bring along seating and refreshments.

If the weather is inclement, the performances will take place in the barn restaurant.
