Anyone still wanting to raise money to support the victims of July's flash flooding in Coverack and elsewhere in the parish can now donate via a local account.

St Keverne Parish Council has set up its own flood appeal account, which will remain open until Christmas Eve.

It means money from organisations still wanting to fundraise can still be welcomed.

For those needing help, the fund has a limited amount of funding available, but the new account means it can now be opened to those unable to apply before, including businesses.

Anyone wishing to apply for help are asked to contact parish clerk Grace Hatton in writing at Trenoweth Mill, St Keverne, Helston, Cornwall, TR12 6QN, giving a brief description of their particular need.

Mrs Hatton is also the person to contact for details of where to send fundraising and donations. She can also be contacted via lsc.mullion@btinternet.com.

The closing date for both donations and applications will be December 24 and money will be distributed shortly afterwards.
