Churchill Retirement Living is inviting people in Truro to join them for coffee and cake at its Tregolls Lodge development to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The event, which is part of the charity’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning campaign, takes place on Tuesday, September 26, from 11am at the development on St Clements Hill. Visitors will be treated to coffee, cakes and biscuits in the owners’ lounge.

Churchill Retirement Living has a special relationship with Macmillan Cancer Support and has raised more than £300,000 for the charity since 2009. It is one of a number of national charities chosen to receive funds as part of the Churchill Foundation, Churchill’s registered charitable trust.

This is the eighth year the retirement developer has taken part in World’s Biggest Coffee morning, which last year raised over £30,000. Jo Ridehalgh, marketing executive for Churchill Retirement Living said: “We are delighted to once again be involved in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. The events are not only a fantastic way to raise money for a very worthy cause but also an opportunity to get the local community together.

"We have set an ambitious fundraising target of £35,000 for Macmillan this year and we hope people in Truro will join us at Tregolls Lodge to help us raise lots of money to support the great work the charity does."
