Falmouth Rotarian Chris Ohly will be taking part in an ultra marathon to raise money in support of Project GO, a Muscular Dystrophy fund raising appeal.

Chris said: “I plan to take part in the Classic Quarter, an ultra marathon which starts at Cornwall’s southernmost point, Lizard Head, and finishes at Cornwall’s western-most point, Lands End. The distance is 44.5 miles. According to the race website it is a very difficult run, with spectacular exposure and challenging terrain. There are in-numerable steep climbs and descents.

"I am planning to walk the course over the two days of the 5th and 6th October. I believe that it is potentially achievable but it will be no easy matter."

Family Fund Project GO has been set up to help raise awareness and vital funds to support the work of Muscular Dystrophy UK with the Duchenne Research Break-through Fund.
