The body of a man is understood to have been recovered from the water off Land’s End earlier today.
There are a differing reports on how many people were involved, with some sources saying that a second person was taken to hospital while others suggest just one person was involved in the incident.
The BBC is reporting that a man in his 40s was pulled from the sea at Land’s End Point this morning.
The recovery operation involved coastguard teams from Land’s End and Penzance, along with the search and rescue helicopter and Sennen all-weather lifeboat, which was diverted to the scene while out on an exercise.
