The Falmouth and Penryn PHAB Club (Physically Handicapped and Able Bodied) celebrated its 60th birthday recently.
Members gathered at the Packet Station in Falmouth for a celebratory meal which was paid for by a friend of the club. A birthday cake was also donated by Mark Webster and was enjoyed by members.
Then at their next meeting, all the members were given a mug to celebrate the 60 years of PHAB - these had been donated by Falfish. "We are very grateful to all those that helped us to celebrate 60 years," said club chairman, Allison Williams.
"We meet on the second and four Monday of the month at Age UK Falmouth, we are always looking for new members. At our meetings we have bingo, entertainment, card games, talks etc. We also go out for meals and have a monthly trip."
