Police are appealing for information after an attempt appears to have been made to puncture a car's tyres on a road in Helston.

Officers are investigating an incident which happened between approximately 10.30pm on Friday, October 6, and 6.30am on Saturday, October 7, at Tregarrick View, where a vehicle parked on the road was found to have three nails placed against the tyres.

PC Lesley Loring said: "The nails were positioned at an angle against the tyres and the ground so that if the driver drove off they would go through the tyre.

"The pressure of the tyre would have forced the nail in."

Anyone with any information should contact PC Loring by calling 101, quoting crime reference number CR/086710/17.
