Strong winds have forced a school on the Lizard Peninsula to close today over fears for the safety of pupils and staff.
Mullion Secondary School currently has a temporary roof in place and with the forecast for winds of up to 65mph staff took the decision to close as a precaution.
A statement on the school's website reads: "The weather warning for high winds, together with the temporary roofing structure in place at the school, means that the school is closed today as it is unsafe for staff and students to be at the school.
"The safety of our staff and students is paramount."
