MP George Eustice is encouraging people to join him, and sign up to take part in the UK’s biggest pink fundraiser. Breast Cancer Now’s flagship fundraiser, Wear it Pink, will see thousands of people across the UK add a splash of pink to their outfits on Friday, October 20, to raise vital funds for breast cancer research.

The event is in its 16th year and has raised over £30 million to date for Breast Cancer Now’s life-saving research.

George joined fellow parliamentarians in Westminster recently to show his support for the thousands of people affected by breast cancer every year.

George said: “Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. One in eight women will face it in their lifetime, and every year around 11,500 women and 80 men lose their lives to the disease. The Wear it Pink campaign is a good way to raise awareness.

“Locally, St Michael’s Hospital in Hayle is leading the way in breast surgery, and is renowned nationally. We are fortunate to have such a national centre of excellence on our doorstep."
