The Penventon Park Hotel in Redruth has announced a three-day Festival of Christmas which will take place from November 24 to 26. The hotel will be working in partnership with Redruth Town Council to celebrate the town's annual Christmas lights switch on, and offer families and festival goers the chance to browse Christmas gifts from local artisan craft makers whilst soaking up the Yuletide atmosphere.

With something to entertain the whole family, from a free festive treasure hunt to feasting upon delicious seasonal fare at the street food stalls, it will be a Christmas bonanza not to be missed.

Aaron Pascoe, owner of Penventon Park Hotel, said: “We are delighted to be participating in the Redruth Christmas Festival this year, with an artisan Christmas market, family activities and the marvellous wassail. It’s a great opportunity to work with Redruth Town Council and embrace our community ties.

"The Redruth Wassail Parade, steeped in Cornish culture, will be starting at Penventon at 4pm on the Saturday and we welcome you all to join us for a drink to celebrate the revival of this fantastic Cornish tradition.”

The festival opens with Carols by Candlelight on the Friday night. On Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 the attractions will include an artisan gift market, wreath making workshops, festive street food stalls, winter gin tasting bar, cake decorating, children's theatre performances and a free children’s treasure hunt in the hotel grounds from 10.30am to 4pm.

Entrance to the Festival of Christmas is free including admission to the artisan market and festive street food Stands. Theatre performances, carols by candlelight and workshops are at an extra charge and need to be booked in advance.
