Since 1873 Falmouth Rugby Club has been a longstanding part of the community, not just as a place to watch and play rugby, but also as a place to host an event or just to relax and enjoy a pint along with friends.

So for Movember The Eagles, the club's first team, wanted to do something special to raise awareness for those in need and let them know they are here for them.

Players and officials, young and old, gathered to recreate a past era by taking a special Movember photo shoot in which club members were encouraged to grow a moustache through the month of November. This was in aid of raising awareness for men’s health issues like testicular cancer and mental health - conditions that affect thousands of men year upon year in this country alone.

"Men aren’t invincible, even us rugby players," said Danny Trick. "It is important to talk, it is never too late and no problem is too small. Falmouth Rugby Club care about the people who make us who we are, so if things are getting to you, speak to your comrades at Falmouth Rugby or please call the Samaritans for free on 116 123."
