Schoolchildren from Helston and across the surrounding area braved the chilly evening temperatures on Friday to take part in this year's Children's Lantern Parade.
Led by Santa in his tractor-drawn sleigh, the parade made its way down Meneage Street and Coinagehall Street before heading around the bowling green and back up through the town.
Approximately 220 children took part in this year's parade, each carrying lanterns they had made themselves.
Crowds of people lined the pavements to see the procession pass by, which was accompanied by festive tunes from Santa's musical sleigh.
While people waited for the parade to begin they could enjoy food from various vans in Meneage Street, where there was also a traditional hand-turned ride for little ones.
Santa was also in his new grotto to greet children during the early evening, before he went to join the start of the procession.
