Public toilets will be removed from Porthleven if people continue to vandalise them.
This was the warning from the port's mayor Andrew Wallis after the toilets cost £5,352 to repair and maintain in December alone, on top of running costs, after a spate of damage.
Only recently a cistern was pulled from the ladies' toilets in Shute Lane, which are open all year. The council also opens the Harbour Road facilities during the summer.
Mr Wallis said: "If we don't have them I think that would be detrimental to Porthleven, but if people continue to vandalise them they will go, as we can't continue to sustain this cost."
