Runners of all ages are being encouraged to sign up for Cornwall Hospice Care's two big fundraising events to be held in Falmouth this spring.

The charity will be bringing the Run Falmouth Half Marathon back to the streets of the town for the seventh year on Sunday, March 18. It is the fourth race in the Cornwall Glass and Glazing Grand Prix calendar, and is run in association with the Falmouth Road Runners. The challenging road run takes participants through the beautiful coast and countryside of Falmouth.

New this year, the charity is also introducing Falmouth Kids Run, a brand new running event which will run alongside Run Falmouth Half Marathon. Setting off after the main race, the kids' run will follow the first mile of the Run Falmouth course along beautiful coastal scenery and Pendennis Castle.

Run Falmouth Kids Run is open to anyone under 16, however any participants under the age of seven must be accompanied by an adult (adult places are free).

Entry for Falmouth Kids Run, which starts at 10.30am, is £7 while the cost of entering the half marathon is £17 for non-affiliated runners and £15 for affiliated runners. To book a place email clyden@cornwallhospice.co.uk or go to cornwallhospicecare.co.uk.
