A year four pupil from St Francis School in Falmouth has won his classmates a set of sports shirts after his design was chosen as the best in the county in a recent competition.

AGAME Sports Ltd, based in Redruth, ran the contest which tasked youngsters with designing their own kit, working within a template supplied to schools. The company was inundated with designs from 20 schools and staff then had the tough task of whittling them down to a final four.

Those four designs were then put to a Facebook vote and it was nine-year-old Lewi's from St Francis whose came out on top.

As a result, Lewi's design was made into actual sports shirts and Adrian Noott from AGAME visited his school to hand over 15 of them to Lewi and some of his classmates.

St Francis School had submitted 90 designs into the competition which had been created by children of classes four, five and six.
