SQUATTERS have moved into one of the most prominent shop spaces in Falmouth.

The former Edinburgh Woollen Mill, in Market Street, has received some unwanted guests who are thought to have occupied the premises over the weekend.

Richard Gates, town centre manager, said: "We're well aware of it. We have to go through the due process involving the property agent Scott Burridge Commercial and the police."

Edinburgh Woollen Mill stopped trading in Falmouth back in 2016, since when it has been empty.

Two people have been confirmed to be occupying the property, with a third also believed to have been spotted.

A note on the door of the shop reads: "Alfie go whistle round back and I'll let you in thru back gate. S & H".
