A drug crazed man from Marazion has been sentenced to 28 years for murder after brutally killing his partner and flushing her body down the loo.

Truro Crown Court heard that sick Dean Lowe, 33, bludgeoned Kirby Noden, 32, to death at their flat before cutting up her remains, putting bits in a wheelie bin and flushing others away.

He had also made a necklace out of her teeth but carried on living surrounded by her blood for four months until anyone realised what had happened.

Lowe, of Marazion, Cornwall, was found guilty of murder last week and now won't be eligible for release until 2046.

After the vedict his Facebook page gave a chilling glimpse into his dark world that resulted in the gruesome murder.

The killer's Facebook page is littered with pictures of drug paraphernalia and in one comment he tells a friend that he can't cope without cannabis in his system.

In one picture he appears to wear women's underwear and pouts for the camera.

Lowe posts a series of bloodletting videos and even brands himself "the biggest stoner in the world."

In one post he boasts of smoking "f*cking mental concentrated weed" and also uploaded a picture of a pasty and a cannabis bong on Christmas day, describing it as his festive lunch.

During the two week trial prosecution QC Paul Dunkels told the court the defendant had got rid of his partner's body "so nothing has been found apart from her blood".

Mr Dunkels said the victim's blood was on the weapons used to murder her, as well as being spattered around the flat and "soaked into the bed's mattress".

He said: "Nobody other than the defendant knew what happened for four months until May of last year when the defendant sent messages to members of his family living in Cheshire saying there had been a body on the floor of the flat and that he had cut it up and put it down the toilet."

After his 'confession' the family then contacted police who went to the flat to question Mr Lowe.

"The defendant then showed a police officer the blood and admitted killing Ms Noden and disposing of the body," said Mr Dunkels.

He said Lowe sent family members horrifying Facebook messages in which he feared he had killed Miss Noden.

He said Lowe sent a message to his cousin Elliot Sanderson saying that Miss Noden was missing and adding: "There's two alternatives. She's dead and been chopped up and put down the toilet and bins down the road, or she's setting me up."

Mr Dunkles said that Lowe said in a later message to Mr Sanderson: "Either I am getting set up or I murdered Kirby. I had a blackout. Woke up with a body on the floor. Scared, so I just got rid. Put body in bin down the road.

"I remember cutting it up and putting in bin for defo. I heard the bin men find all the meat. They didn't know what it was."

Lowe tried to claim during the trial that Miss Noden left him after an argument about her cheating on him with an old friend.

He claimed that he was then drugged and raped by two men whilst Miss Noden spread her blood around the flat from a colostomy bag.

Lowe also said that he received a call from Miss Noden whilst incarcerated in HMP Exeter when she said "you're f*cked now, you've got life in jail and I've got a new life out here".

But the jury rejected his version of events and found him guilty after several hours of deliberations.

The court has heard that the couple had lived together for a number of years.

Originally from Winsford, Cheshire, they moved to south-west England and lived in Torquay, Devon, and Launceston, Cornwall, before moving to Marazion.

The court heard that they lived "a chaotic lifestyle marked by the use of various illegal drugs".

On his facebook page Lowe has also shared self-harm images including carvings to his forearm.

Two years ago he posted a bloodletting video, which showed one of his limbs cut open with blood gushing from the wound.

The video is captioned "free head rush bloodletting", implying that he did it for the 'high' it gave him.

Lowe also uploaded a still of a deep looking circular wound with the comment "can see me muscle lol".

In a bizarre picture from January 2016 Lowe is captured striking an odd pose wearing women's underwear, garments presumably belonging to Miss Noden, also known as Kirsty, who he bludgeoned to death.

The court heard throughout the trial that it was likely Lowe killed Miss Noden in January 2017, yet he continues to regularly post on Facebook right up until that May, when he was arrested.

In a statement released after the verdict Kirby Noden's family said: "Dean Lowe has taken away from us something totally precious, and although we welcome this verdict and sentence, it will never replace our loss."

Invesigating officer Iain Ringrose said after the verdict: "This has been an extensive and complex investigation which has been necessary to prove that Lowe is responsible for Kirby's death, disprove his various explanations as to why Kirby could not be found and in parallel, because we have been unable to find any of Kirby's remains, a complex investigation to prove that Kirby is no longer alive. This has required extensive nationwide and International enquiries.

"Miss Noden's family have been put through a living hell with Lowe not disclosing where he disposed of Kirby's body and denying all knowledge in court. Lowe added to their upset by insisting that Kirby was still alive.

"We hope today's sentence gives them some comfort in the conclusion of the case and our thoughts and sympathies are with them."

Lowe will be sentenced at Exeter Crown Court on Tuesday 15 May.
