A PERRANWELL STATION man has been ordered to pay costs of £770 after being found guilty of assault.

Alex Ducker, aged 25, denied the offence, which took place in Helston on October 28 last year.

He was also fined £242 and ordered to pay compensation of £100 and a victim surcharge of £30.

A DRINK driver from Penryn has been banned from the roads for almost two years.

Darren Lee Bowers, who gave his address as Cornish Concrete Products, admitted driving over the legal limit in Truro on May 24.

He had 86mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath, with the limit being 35mcgs.

Besides the 22-month disqualification, Truro magistrates also fined the 49 year-old £132 and ordered costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge to be made.

Bowers also admitted driving with no insurance, for which there was no separate penalty.

A NEWLYN man has been disqualified for 19 months after drink-driving in Penzance.

Liam Darby, aged 25, of Navy Inn Court, admitted the offence on May 9, when he had 74mcgs in 100mls of breath.

He was also fined £338 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £33 victim surcharge.

A COMMUNITY order has been imposed on a Troon man who drove whilst disqualified.

Kevin William Deluca, aged 30, of New Road, admitted driving in Camborne on March 8 and must now comply with the requirements of the order, which includes a curfew for two months with electronic monitoring.

He also drove without insurance, for which there was no separate penalty.

Deluca was ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

A DRINK driver from Godolphin Cross has been made the subject of a community order by Truro magistrates.

Adam Duncan King, aged 22, of Godolphin Crescent, admitted driving in Penzance on May 23 when he had 82mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

King, who also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance, was ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months and has also been banned from driving for 22 months.

He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

A PENSIONER from Truro has been banned from driving after exceeding the alcohol limit.

Robert Montgomery, aged 73, of Upland Crescent, Moresk, admitted the offence in a pub car park on Kenwyn Street on May 25.

He had 88mcgs in 100mls of breath, with the legal limit being 35mcgs.

He was banned for 22 months, fined £230 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A MAN who drove while unfit through drugs has been banned from driving for four years.

Terry John Schuck, aged 50, of Melyn Close, Hayle, admitted the offence on December 19 on the Hayle bypass.

He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

Truro magistrates also imposed a community order on Schuck, who was in possession of 20 tablets of Alprazolam, a Class C drug.

He will be under curfew for three months with electronic monitoring.

A CAMBORNE man received a suspended prison sentence after admitting two charges of possessing cannabis with intent to supply.

Jason Ravi Seecharran, aged 27, of Trelowarren Street, committed the offences in September last year and was given a 15-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months.

He must also carry out 100 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months and must comply with a rehabilitation activity requirement.

A REDRUTH woman has been banned from driving for 20 months after being found over the alcohol limit.

Lynsey Jane Abrahams, aged 33, of The Chapel, Treskillard, admitted committing the offence in Camborne on May 12.

She was fined £210 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge after registering 76mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

A TROON man who stole a Playstation 4 games console belonging to another man has received a community order from Truro magistrates.

Luke Coates, aged 20, of Boswyn, stole the console and accessories valuing £459.

He has been placed under an electronic tagging curfew for four weeks and ordered to pay £135 compensation.

A TRURO teenager who admitted assaulting a female has been made the subject of a community order.

James Lee Endean, aged 18, c/o of Nancemere Road, has also had a restraining order imposed until June 10 next year. He was ordered to pay £85 victim surcharge and £135 costs.

Rachael Stella Phillips, aged 36, of Boscawen Rose Farmhouse, had 65mcgs of alcohol in her breath when stopped in Carbis Bay on May 27.

She received no separate penalty for driving without insurance.

A MOTHER from The Lizard has received a conditional discharge after her daughter failed to attend Mullion School regularly.

Georgina Roberts, of The Triangle, failed to ensure that her daughter attended regularly between March 14 last year and January 1 2018.

Roberts, who admitted the offence, was ordered to pay £250 costs and £20 victim surcharge.
