FOLLOWING our recent report about the British Chambers of Commerce #ShareYourNotSpots campaign, many of you responded with your own problem network locations.

There had previously been 27 reports of areas with zero mobile phone signal (which have been nicknamed 'not spots') in Cornwall.

This means that the list of identified not spots, which already included areas in a range of towns and villages, such as Helston, Newquay and even Truro, is rapidly expanding.

One commenter, Gilly Zella Martin said: "They can add Gibbons Fields, Mullion to that list. It alternates from no service to a weak signal all day every day."

Steve Vince said: "Mawnan Smith area, awful. We should not accept this!!! All service providers."

A number of people have reported issues with Vodafone and O2 in the Asda car park in Penryn.

Beaches such as Gyllyngvase and Poldhu have also received complaints of zero network, and could therefore result in some inconvenience during the upcoming holiday season.

As with the original list, many of the new reports refer to EE, which allegedly fails to deliver a network connection in the following locations: Edgcumbe, Treluswell to Bissoe, parts of Malabar, Truro and parts of Dracaena Avenue, Penryn bypass.

Due to the number of complaints, it seems that suffering from little to no network connection is not a rare issue.

The British Chambers of Commerce continue to encourage everyone to officially report any not spots they are aware of, to help them 'identify gaps in coverage and to work constructively with industry and government to resolve issues locally'.
