Lamp post
A 17 YEAR OLD from Penryn had an dramatic trip to Asda when his car collided with a lamp post on the way out yesterday evening.
Police were called to the scene just after 9pm after the Renault Clio crashed into the post outside the petrol station on Jennings Road.
The driver and two friends were described as "walking wounded" by police, but the ambulance was stood down.
Relatives took the driver to Treliske Hospital for a precautionary check-up.
