It has been a very exciting week for the Penryn Camera Club which held its annual photographic exhibition in the town hall as part of the Penryn Week celebrations.

The Mayor of Penryn hosted a wine and cheese event to officially open the exhibition on Thursday night. An large number of visitors attended the exhibition over the three days to view a selection of prints and digital images taken by the members.

Derek Godridge offered free portrait sessions and Victor Tullin provided short teaching sessions in the use of Photoshop computer editing software. Visitors were asked to choose their favourite print and to enter a free draw to win their choice of print.

The lucky visitor, Yvonne Hingston received her chosen print at the close of the exhibition from the club chairman Ron Pitcher. A number of visitors also showed an interest in joining the club when it starts meeting again in September after its summer break.

The club is always looking for new members. To find out more go to penryncameraclub.org.uk or email info@penryncameraclub.org.uk.
