Land of Hope and Glory is a traditional tune to play at Last Night of the Proms but tonight’s Proms in the Car Park in Helston is promising to be more a Land of Soak and Poury.
Due to the forecast of heavy rain this evening, Helston Town Band has taken the decision to move the event indoors, relocating it from the car park of Tesco Helston to the Godolphin Club in Wendron Street.
The event will still start at 7pm, with tickets costing £5 on the door.
The evening will feature the music of Helston Town Band, with performances from ACT1 youth theatre group and Angela Agutter Thomas as guest soloist.
Audience members are encouraged to take along flags to wave during the patriotic evening.
