Falmouth College students were celebrating outstanding performance this morning (Thursday August 16) as they collected their A level and A level equivalent Level 3 BTEC results with a fabulous 85 per cent in the range A*-C or equivalent.

These results are the culmination of two years of study for most students. For many, university places depend upon these results.

For others, employment or further training opportunities beckon.

Once again, Falmouth College has produced above national average results.

Dr Fox, head of Falmouth College, said: "It’s wonderful to see students who have worked so hard succeeding and moving on to the next exciting phase of their lives.

"We look forward to welcoming our next group of local students joining us after their GCSE results next week."

There were 50 A*, A, Distinction* and Distinction grades, with 63 per cent of students gaining at least one A*, A or Distinction*.

This summer results improved again on last year with even more students excelling.

Outstanding individual performances included Eleanor Daniell (A*A*AA), Tadhg Cullen (A*A Distinction* Distinction* Distinction), Zyra Claudius (A*AA Distinction), Amber Luckett (AABB), Emily Murray (BBB), Sian Williams (Distinction BB).

Eleanor Daniell has a place to study History at Exeter University, where she will be joined by Amber Luckett studying Medical Science.

Zyra Claudius and Tadhg Cullen have both secured places at Bristol University studying Maths and History respectively. Emily Murray is going to study English and Spanish at Plymouth University.

Evie Jenkin will be reading Animal Biology at University of Gloucester.

Performing Arts Diploma students gain awards equivalent to 3 A levels and congratulations go to Tadhg Cullen, Josh Talbot (Double Distinction* Distinction BC) and Alex Ould (Triple Distinction). Alex will be studying Acting at Falmouth University. Evie Phillips also has been successful in obtaining a place at Falmouth University to study Fashion Marketing.

Many other students also performed really well and this is another set of excellent results for our students who have worked really hard to achieve success, supported by their families and Falmouth School and College staff.
