The Natural Store has been a mainstay of Falmouth's High Street since the late 90s, bringing eco-friendly products to the masses for two decades.

Starting off as one of Falmouth's first organic food shops, it has expanded in recent years to offer a massive range of skin care products, natural medicines, incense and almost everything else the environmentally conscious shopper could imagine.

They also opened up a thriving cafe in April 2017 serving a wholly organic menu along with enviable views over the River Fal to enjoy while listening to the world music that flows from the speakers.

Owner Paul Johnson said: "I started in Helston 25 years ago and the organic boom followed that, and as time went on more and more products became available as organic versions and now almost everything is available as organic.

"We have pioneered quite a few things like spelt as an alternative to wheat. We were one of the pioneers of that locally, we used to get bread made specially for us from spelt, even though now it is more mainstream.

"We always try to get you better alternatives to what is out in the mainstream market."

As well as the huge range of organic produce, Paul is conscious about the shop's plastic output.

He recently introduced a range of packaging-free food dispensers where shoppers can fill up their own containers with almonds, lentils, oats and the like without having to worry about single-use plastics clogging up our oceans.

If you haven't already, be sure to stop in at The Natural Store and sample some of the chemical-free, cruelty-free produce that undeniably tastes a whole lot better than what you would find at your local behemoth superstore.
