There has been serious disruption to train services in and out of Cornwall this evening after a person was hit by a train.
The incident happened further up the line, causing the track to be closed between Bristol Temple Meads and Taunton.
However, this had a knock-on effect on Great Western Railway trains travelling between London Paddington / Gloucester / Cardiff Central / Bristol Temple Meads and Taunton / Exeter St Davids / Paignton / Penzance.
The CrossCountry service between Newcastle / Manchester Piccadilly and Exeter St Davids / Plymouth / Penzance was also affected.
Emergency have now dealt with the incident, allowing all lines to reopen.
National Rail Enquiries has warned that trains may continued to be delayed by up to 30 minutes, or potentially cancelled or revised while services return to normal, although a good service is now expected to have resumed.
