A 72 year old woman pointed an eight inch knife at her neighbours and threatened to slash their tyres.

Barbera Jean Shirley Minns, of Daveys Close in Falmouth, pleaded guilty to a slew of offences from January 2017 to April 2018 which included assaulting one of her neighbours and drink driving.

She also threw dog poo into their garden, left poisoned pet food by their cat flap, damaged one of their cars and subjected them to verbal abuse numerous times.

She drove after drinking alcohol twice in the space of two months, on one occasion having 159 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of urine, the legal limit being 107. She assaulted a woman by beating her on the same day that she was caught drink driving.

The second time she was caught drink driving she had 122 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, the legal limit being 80.

For all of the offences committed, she was given two consecutive 18 week sentences and a further two concurrent 8 week sentences and 18 week sentence, all suspended for two years.

She was given two restraining orders meaning stopping her from contacting either of the people living next door or entering their property or the surrounding area.

Her licence was also disqualified for five years and she was made to pay £500 in compensation.

A Falmouth man was fined for possession of cannabis and MDMA.

James Alan Brooks, 22, of The Beacon in Falmouth, was found with six MDMA (ecstasy) pills and 34.08 grams of cannabis in his possession in Falmouth on May 19 2018.

On a separate occasion in Penzance on June 25 2018, he was found in possession of 1.8 grams of MDMA and 2.02 grams of cannabis.

He was fined £100 and made to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and had £215 deducted from his benefits.

Luke Anthony Pentecost, 25, of Meadowbank Road in Falmouth, was fined for resisting a police officer.

He pleaded guilty and was fine £266 and made to pay a victim surcharge of £35 and £85 court costs.

A man from Redruth was found with a stun gun in his possession.

Shane Williams Frank Rogers, 22, of Nettells Hill, pleaded guilty to possessing a weapon that could discharge electricity.

He was given a six month prison sentence, suspended for six months and made to pay a £115 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

A Hayle woman drove without insurance after drinking alcohol.

Kirsty Leanne Jackson, 20, of Viaduct Hill in Hayle, was found driving on the A30 near Roseworthy on July 28 of this year without valid insurance.

She was found to have 40 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35.

She pleaded guilty and her licence was disqualified for 12 months and endorsed with penalty points.

Jackson was also fined £160 and made to pay £85 court costs and a victim surcharge of £35.

Ian McLean, 32, of Henfor Terrace in Marazion was fined for driving without due care and attention.

He pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined £200 for the incident which took place on the A394 in Helston on February 2 2018.

He was also made to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £125 court costs, and his licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

A woman in Penzance assaulted another woman by beating her.

Pippa Marie Morgan, 49, of Roscadghill Parc in Penzance, was given a restraining order preventing her from contacting the woman in question.

She pleaded not guilty to the offence.

A Camborne man was fined using words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to someone else.

Alan James Gribben, 68, of Dolcoath Road in Camborne, was fined £64 for the offences which took place between February 22 and February 27 2018.

He pleaded guilty and was made to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85.

A London man was fined for driving a van in Falmouth after drinking alcohol.

Rory William Charles Johnston, of Telford Avenue in Streatham, pleaded guilty to driving with 72 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, when the legal limit is 35.

He was fined £346 and made to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and £85 court costs.

Christopher Brason, 28, of Treliever Road in Penryn, was fined for drink driving.

He pleaded guilty to having 75 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, when the legal limit is 35.

He was fined £160 and made to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85.

His licence was also disqualified for 42 months.

A Newquay man pleaded guilty to a long list of offences including stealing £1,200 worth of power tools and £2.50 worth of cash.

Karl Mark Taylor, 40, of Edgecumbe Avenue in Newquay, committed the offences between June 1 and July 14 of this year.

One of the offences involved trespassing in an office and stealing a laptop and ipad.

Another saw him stealing a bicycle worth £300, and damaged a drainpipe belonging to Newquay Train Station.

He was given a thirteen week curfew from Thursday to Sunday between the hours of 7pm and 7am.

Stuart Andrew Graham, 47, from Redruth, was found in possession of drugs including 1.47 grams of heroin and 16.5 diazepam pills.

He pleaded guilty to the offences and was given a six week curfew between the hours of 7pm and 7am on Saturdays and Sundays.
