A specialist police team swooped on a business in Falmouth earlier today and arrested two people on "immigration offences."
The police Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Proactive Disruption Team, which deals with safeguarding potential victims of Modern Day Slavery as part of its role, carried out a walk-on visit at a premises that employs foreign workers.
Their visit was to ensure staff were not being exploited and had the correct employment and living conditions.
As a result, two people were detained and arrested for immigration offences, according to an officer from the team, and they will soon be taken to immigration centres.
The visit was part of a routine check.
The Packet has contacted the team for further details.
