Man and woman charged with murder of child in Cornwall
A woman and her ex-partner have been charged with the murder of a 22-month-old girl in Liskeard.
The woman, aged 26, and a man, aged, 31, have been charged with the murder of the child last October.
They are also charged with causing or allowing the death or serious injury to a child and were due to appear before Bodmin Magistrates’ Court today (September 6).
Police and ambulance were called to an address in Liskeard at around 12.45pm on October 5, 2017, and found the child unresponsive. She was airlifted to Derriford Hospital, but died shortly afterwards.
An investigation was launched by the Major Crime Investigation Team in Bodmin and the couple were charged on Wednesday, September 5.
