BRIDGWATER College has had its best year ever for leading universities applications, with a host of female students securing offers to study at some of the country's most prestigious campuses.
Grace Hudson, Frances Potjewyd, Victoria Johnson, Gemma Pouncy, and Rebecca Tibbs have all been offered sought-after places at various Oxford Colleges.
Michaela Wegg, Amy Findlay and Sylvie Halsey have also received offers for the Royal Veterinary College, Brighton and Sussex Medical School and Peninsula Medical School respectively.
Martyn Aldridge, the leading universities co-ordinator, said: "It's been a fantastic year, the students have worked really hard for this and put in very strong applications that reflected their academic ability and commitment to their chosen courses.
"An increasingly high number of our students are also utilising the support offered by the Leading Universities Group.
"We envisage further growth on the Oxbridge front, with the launch of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme which will serve as an excellent preparation because of its focus on the development of breadth and depth within the student learning experience."
